Field & Flight Campaigns through the TERRAVISION project advances exploration technology.

TERNA MAG S.A. participates in the European funded TERRAVISION project, which aims to establish and deploy an integrated platform to enhance the entire critical raw materials value chain towards implementing sustainable mining practices.

In this framework, TERNA MAG S.A. and DIMAP Spectral GmbH were collaborated on a ground-based sampling and scanning campaign in combination with an airborne mission across the survey area. In these activities, ASD spectrometer for spectral reflectance measurements and handheld XRF equipment for elemental composition analyses were utilized for delivering a multi-platform dataset.

The work performed is expected to contribute to project’s innovation pillars, namely the data ecosystem for large scale Earth-Observation (EO) mining services, the analysis ready data & spectral library, the EO services for mining, and the green & resilience accountability component.
