During the two-day meeting, the partners involved presented an overview of the project’s progress up to eighteenth months, as well as the plan for the next steps. TERNA MAG as a participant and beneficiary of the EU funded project PRIM-ROCK, provided experience from the field related to industrial calcination and was engaged in fruitful discussions on kiln prototyping. The progress of the Indirect-Fired Rotary Kiln (IFRK) prototype is on track, and the digital tools are expected to advance further the deliverables of the relevant working packages assisting the reduction of carbon emissions.
The highlight of the meeting was the guided tour in Kaunas city where the history of the town was revealed. Special thanks to our colleagues from Vytautas Magnus University who hosted nicely the consortium.
